About

The Qanuippitaa? National Inuit Health Survey (QNIHS) is taking place in every Nunavut community in 2024. The Nunavut component of the QNIHS is led by Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. This means the survey, information collected, and the results produced are designed and owned by Inuit.

Nunavut Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement will be randomly selected and invited to participate. Everyone who takes part either by getting interviewed, working for QNIHS, or helping to promote it in the communities is helping to pave the way for a better life for all Inuit.

History and Background

The Qanuippitaa? National Inuit Health Survey is not the same as those conducted in the past. The QNIHS is entirely owned, designed and led by Inuit across Canada, in partnership with Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and conducted in every Region of Inuit Nunangat.
